I am a fresh and fully qualified teacher. I have a lot of patience and am qualified to teach science for ages 11-19. I specialise in Biology but can help with chemistry or physics at a pre-GCSE level.
I have had various different types of teaching experience from the age of 15 as an official school peer mentor. I then then travelled to Ghana to teach in a high school at the age of 17. I later studied for a PGCE in 2014 and afterwards I worked for a year as an A-level teacher at a very good 6th form college. I then worked at a well reputed Brighton based school before taking some time to go travelling. I have since recently returned and am feeling fresh and ready to take on the task of tutoring.
I am calm, patient and students find me approachable. I will do my best to find the best way of learning for the student through a variety of activities. This can involve discussion, note taking, diagram sketching and labeling, video watching, text book questions and activities, and 'fun' activities such as word games, poster making, and anything else that works for the student!
