I am a qualified college lecturer in Science with a strong academic background, including a Master’s degree and a PGCE, and I also work with a reputable tutoring agency on my days off. I offer private tuition in all core subjects (Science, Maths, and English) across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, with particular expertise in Science and Maths.
With good experience in both classroom teaching and one-to-one tutoring, I understand how to tailor lessons to suit each student's individual learning style and pace. Whether your child needs help building confidence, catching up on missed content, or stretching towards top grades, I can provide structured, engaging support that gets results.
I bring a wealth of teaching experience from both London and Birmingham, having worked in a range of educational settings including secondary schools, sixth form colleges, and private tuition. My career began in London, where I taught in diverse, high-paced environments that helped me develop a strong ability to adapt my teaching style to suit learners of all backgrounds and abilities. I now continue this work in Birmingham, where I lecture in Science at college level and also provide one-to-one tuition in my spare time. This broad experience across key stages and cities has given me a deep understanding of the curriculum and exam requirements, as well as the flexibility to support students with varying needs — from those aiming for top grades to those needing help building foundational knowledge and confidence.
My teaching style is student-centred, adaptable, and results-focused. I take the time to understand each student’s unique learning style, strengths, and areas for development, and I tailor every lesson accordingly. Whether a student needs to build confidence, catch up on missed topics, or stretch towards top grades, I provide structured support with clear goals and regular feedback.
I focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, using real-life examples and interactive techniques to make learning engaging and relevant. I also place a strong emphasis on exam preparation, including past paper practice, revision strategies, and time management skills — all aimed at helping students perform at their best.
Most importantly, I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are motivated to take ownership of their learning. Progress is not just measured by grades, but by increased confidence and independence.
