I am a hardworking and dedicated to supporting young people in education. I spend a great deal of my spare time reading and researching to expand my horizons whilst also ensuring that my students have all current information of the law and matters pertaining to the study of citizenship.
I have been teaching GCSE and A-LEVEL Law as well as Citizenship for 6 years now. I thoroughly enjoy both subject areas and have prepared students for exams in both a college environment as well as being a 1-to-1 tutor throughout the duration of my time as a teacher.
I have been on a number of CPD courses to ensure I have all current knowledge of law and citizenship specifications as well as being able to prepare students for exams following review of yearly examination reports.
Private tutoring has proved very helpful to all students I have taken on. In some cases I have supported students generally throughout the course of their study and in other instances, assisted them to achieving a better grade where AS results where not as expected.
Every student has their own method of private study away from college. Accordingly, I feel it is in the student's best interest to decide how they wish the lessons to be prepared. For example, student A likes going over theory in detail to ensure he understand. This is different to Student B who likes to go through exam papers to ensure they are writing enough. If however, a student is feeling lost and needs motivation, I am more than happy to provide direction to aim for success at GCSE or A-level Law or Sociology
