Personal Description:

Hi my name is Yaniv. I have recently completed my Undergraduate LLB Law with a First Class Degree I also excelled in my undergraduate degree, scoring a first in all three consecutive years.

I am currently tutoring University level law students in a broad range of legal subjects and A level Law, History and English Students. I am able to help students with the content and subject of their course, provide advice regarding essays and exams, as well as help with Dissertations. I have excellent communication, analytical, legal research, classroom and time management skills with ability to multi task and competence in the use of ICT.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been working as a private law tutor intermittently since Since October 2009. Since these past few years I have the pride to see my students excel through their academic lives and acquire university acceptances to top Universities.

I have a vast experience in teaching students from GCSE level all the way through to Degree Level, my specialty is teaching Law and English. However, I also teach I have also taught History at GCSE and A-level in which my students have achieved A's and A*'s. In addition to teaching students how to achieve their desired marks, I also aim to build their enthusiasm for the subject. I usually find that my passion for the law has a positive effect on them in this context and that teaching them the principles which underpin the law increases their conceptual understanding and interest for the subject. I can also help with read-proofing courseworks, essays and advise on how to bump them up to a higher grade.

Furthermore, I can tutor in a range of degree level subjects in law. This includes:
Intellectual Property Law
International Trade Law
European Union law
Contract law
Criminal law
Tort law
Equity & Trusts law
Land law
Company law
Housing law

Tutoring Approach:

These experiences have taught me many effective and flexible techniques. My default method is to start with an introductory session where I introduce myself to the pupil, discuss their aims and objectives for the tutorials, identify problematic topics and construct a timetable. A typical tutorial will then consist of working through a topic with the pupil and attempting to answer past exam questions together. I also encourage pupils to attempt past exam papers on their own subsequent to the tutorial and email them to me for feedback purposes. I fully appreciate, however, that students are not homogenous and will have differing needs and requirements. Therefore I am very flexible in my approach. For instance, some students are generally competent in a particular module and simply wish to increase their predicted mark from a 2.1 to a first. Such a student would benefit from discussing specific aspects of the law or academic commentary in substantial detail, as oppose to working through an entire topic.
