I love numbers. Mathematics was my favorite subject since primary school. This passion for number encourages me to move forward and pursuit a career in tutoring.
I started tutoring when I was 17 when my mother's friend heard that I'm good with numbers and asked me if I can help her daughter with junior maths. It turned out better than good!
Since then, spreading love of numbers became one of my favorite hobbies.
I was involved in two different education systems: East and West. My foundation was built in China and had my secondary and third level in Europe. Over the years, I gradually form my own ethos which seek to combine the advantages of both.
I have five years of tutoring experience. I have worked with students from primary to third level, with special needs, as well as students whose first language is not English. My experience enables me to give valuable advice to students on how exams are graded and how students should response to exam questions. Given any mathematical course, my professional knowledge and experience enable me to see the structure of the entire course in a very short time period, and identify the most important part or topics of the course, which will give better study direction and strategy to the students, so that the students can study more efficiently.
My teaching focuses on understanding, rather than just a few maths tricks. Understanding the concept is a key element for being interested in a subject. I am generous with time in each session, I usually do not stop a session before I finish a topic. I answer and explain questions down to detail.
I'm always prepared and ready to give lessons to my students.
I'm always gaining knowledge as well.
