Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Xani and I'm a 23-year-old tutor with specialties in English, Maths, Economics, Music and Law. I'm originally from Sydney, Australia though I grew up in Hong Kong, and came over to the UK to do my undergraduate degree. I'm now in London about to start working as a solicitor, and doing some tutoring in my free time.

I did the International Baccalaureate at secondary school, where my subjects were English, Economics and Music (Higher Level) and Maths, Physics and Mandarin (Standard Level). I ended up achieving 42 points out of a total of 45.

For my undergraduate degree I studied Law with European Law at the University of Oxford, and I was awarded a First Class degree last July.

In my free time I like to read, go for runs, and explore London.

Tutoring Experience:

During my secondary school years and on my gap year, I taught a range of students aged 7 to 18. I have 5+ years of tutoring experience across a variety of subjects. If you need tutoring at any stage of the IB - whether PYP, MYP, or Diploma level - I have experience in tutoring all three. I have also recently begun tutoring Law at university level, though I can also teach the A-Level class.

Tutoring Approach:

My years of tutoring experience have taught me that it's best if the programme is tailored very specifically to the student's needs, while also being engaging! I like to set up a rewards system with in-person tutoring sessions to get students energised and wanting to complete the tasks ahead of them.

Normally I set up a trial first session at a cheaper rate (about 60% of the normal price) to meet each other and talk through your learning style, approach to the subject, and make a goal-oriented plan for sessions.
