I am delighted to leave a review for my son's English tutor, Will. Will possesses a profound understanding of the subject, and his teaching skills are exceptional and engaging. He quickly identified areas for my son to improve, tailored teaching methods to my son's learning style, and created an encouraging learning environment that instilled confidence in my son's approach to English, significantly boosting his performance.

My son entered puberty this summer, leading him to distance himself from parental and other forms of support, especially in his studies. Despite falling slightly behind in other subjects this term due to his agitating puberty mood, he still ranks among the strongest in English, a testament to the solid foundation Will provided him in English literature. He attends the most academic prep school and was placed in the top set in Humanities, it is very hard to keep top in English. I am very grateful for all Will's efforts for my son.

I hope my son can calm down soon and express a desire to return to Will's class. I am confident that I couldn't find a better 13+, scholarship, GCSE, or A-level English tutor than Will.

Will was an excellent English literature tutor that brought my daughter up from a solid 6 to an 8. He was able to provide guidelines direct from the exam board that quickly improved her essays. He is a nice person that my daughter enjoyed learning from. I would highly recommend.

Will is an excellent English tutor and we recommend him highly. He has worked with my son for over 6 months on preparation for the 11+ and Eton entrance exams in English and Verbal reasoning. He has in-depth subject knowledge of the English syllabus as well as exam requirements for specific schools and how to excel in these. Moreover he is a good teacher with the ability to impart his knowledge in informative and interesting ways. He is an engaging teacher and would adapt the topic to the interests and ability of the student. Feedback from my son on his lessons were ‘excellent, knowledgeable teacher, stimulating and exercise / tasks in lessons were varied and fun!’

Will helped my son with interview preparation for senior school. My son had 3 one hour lessons. Each lesson was varied, covering a multitude of interview topics starting simple and progressively moving more onto more interesting and thought provoking topics. The pace was steady with instant feedback on what went well and what could be improved. There was no time wasted as Will swiftly moved from one topic to the next and kept him on him on his toes. Ultimately my son was successful in securing a place at Eton and we are very grateful for Will’s help in this.

We are very grateful to Will for his excellent teaching and guidance for our son who was preparing for the Eton Scholarship. He has helped him develop his writing skills and foster his passion for English, which was reflected in our son's scholarship results! Will's lessons are engaging and challenging, and our son always looks forward to the next class. Will is truly the best teacher we could have hoped for.

Will has been excellent at tutoring my 17y old son who is studying for his IB in English. He has helped increase his confidence in writing essays and analysing poetry. The sessions have been very well structured.
We would thoroughly recommend Will for anyone looking for a tutor for English and I wouldn't hesitate to contact him again if any of my other children required an English tutor either.

Will has been tutoring our son for the last 6 months. He has had a big impact on our sons Summer exam results primarily by providing new techniques for essay writing and poetry as well as providing insights into how examiners view answers. Will is an exceptional tutor and our son is truly fortunate to experience his teaching in his 11+ preparation. Will is a fantastic tutor he knows all the texts my son is studying which is great as he went straight into it on his first lesson
He knows what the examining board requires to achieve a higher greater and this reflects in his questioning whilst he’s teaching
He looked over one piece of work my son did and knew exactly where he needed help and my son agreed
You can see he is trained as a teacher through his tutoring very knowledgeable and thorough
What’s best is I don’t need to check up on my sons learning with Will because I know after each lesson he’s covered and learned so much which honestly is a relief I can relax and know English is covered! Thank you Will

Will is a brilliant tutor, he pushed up my sons grades within a very short time and helped him achieve an excellent grade in his English GCSE papers. Got into the school we wanted for his A levels.

My wife passed the IELTS Academic English test thanks to Will. She had taken the test several times but was missing some key details in her English education. Will was an excellent tutor and her English ability increased significantly more under his tutelage than previous tutors. It truly made a very noticable difference. Will is an amazing teacher and we are so fortunate to have found him. Having such a highly skilled, highly intelligent, highly motivated and very experienced teacher makes a huge difference. He really is the very best teacher you could possibly find. He's also a nice down-to-earth guy that the students can relate to! Being a qualified teacher at one of the top schools in the UK, Will is not only able to very easily teach content, he is also very effective at teaching exam and question technique - something that can make the difference between a good result and an excellent result. It's obvious that he genuinely wants the very best outcome for his students and goes way above and beyond to help them. I was a bit sceptical about using Skype for lessons but actually it works just as effectively as face to face. So all I can say is if you are looking for a fantastic teacher who cares about your student's success then you cannot go wrong with Will.

Will has an excellent knowledge of the set texts and is therefore able to bring the text to life for his student. He has a very effective way of drawing the knowledge from his student allowing them to think of the answers for themselves. Highly recommended.
