Information About Wendy - Stamford tutor - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Wendy:
I am a teacher with many years experience in delivering GCSE's and A level sciences and maths as well as Learning Support at all levels. During this time I have also delivered 1 to 1 and group tutorial sessions. I also coordinate and lecture on Teacher Training Courses.
I am an outgoing and friendly person and develop strong bonds with my students. I believe that, with help, all students can achieve their goals, especially when they have had bad experiences at school.
I have several years teaching and tutoring experience in all the following:
A level Biology
GCSE Sciences and Maths
Applied Sciences at Level 3 especially for Health and Social Care
Biochemistry for Access to HE
Numeracy and Literacy
Entrance exam subjects
I tutor by starting with the basics required for a topic to check existing knowledge. The tutee and I then build on this to achieve their requirements and confidence. I use many past questions to reinforce new knowledge and give a high chance of gaining a good grade in exams.
I try to achieve as much as possible in the time allocated and this intense approach without gimmickry really does lead to results.
However, I am encouraging rather than pressurising and adapt to a tutee's needs and personality. I love 1 to 1 teaching because it is lovely to be able to really concentrate on the needs of one student.
