Psychology tutor with six years experience teaching statistics and research methods to undergraduate students. Clueless about SPSS? Need help designing studies or interpreting results? A bit more support with exam preparation? Please contact me and we'll discuss a tuition plan to suit your needs!
Since 2009 I have worked as a Researcher within Experimental and Clinical Psychology, and as a Research Associate and Assistant Cognitive Behaviour Therapist within the NHS. I now work as a Lecturer. My knowledge of statistics, research and Clinical Psychology provides depth and breadth of experience which I feel well equipped to share with current Undergraduate Psychology students.

I have been tutoring with First Tutors for nearly four years. I have worked closely with many students at different levels and abilities. I have tutored A-Level students, Undergraduate students, Masters students, and even a veterinary nurse! My youngest ever tutee was 17 and my oldest was in his 60s. I specialise in statistics, essay and report writing but I have also worked with students on study skills and careers advice. Most of my work comes by word-of-mouth, which I believe is testament to the level of service that I provide.

University of Liverpool
I am a lecturer with six years experience teaching Research Methods and Statistics classes at first and second year undergraduate level. I have expertise in the area of health psychology. I am an Academic Advisor, and have first year, second year and third year tutees. I also supervise undergraduate research projects requiring experimental design, statistical analysis and interpretation. I am responsible for the marking of coursework including essays, practical reports and presentations. I am also disability lead, where I work closely with students with physical and mental educational needs.
I learn best by simplifying and condensing concepts and information into understandable chunks. My approach to tutoring follows the same process of breaking down complex statistical formula, Psychological principles and key study skills into a more accessible level, without compromising full understanding. I truly believe that enthusiasm is infectious and any topic can be made engaging. I am energetic, enthusiastic and highly driven in all aspects of my work.
I am happy to assist with core topics, such as understanding and interpreting Statistics and key theoretical approaches in Psychology. I am also happy to assist with the processes of essay writing, practical reporting writing and exam preparation.
