Psychology tutor with six years experience teaching statistics and research methods to undergraduate students. Clueless about SPSS? Need help designing studies or interpreting results? A bit more support with exam preparation? Please contact me and we'll discuss a tuition plan to suit your needs!
Since 2009 I have worked as a Researcher within Experimental and Clinical Psychology, and as a Research Associate and Assistant Cognitive Behaviour Therapist within the NHS. I now work as a Lecturer. My knowledge of statistics, research and Clinical Psychology provides depth and breadth of experience which I feel well equipped to share with current Undergraduate Psychology students.

I have been tutoring with First Tutors for nearly four years. I have worked closely with many students at different levels and abilities. I have tutored A-Level students, Undergraduate students, Masters students, and even a veterinary nurse! My youngest ever tutee was 17 and my oldest was in his 60s. I specialise in statistics, essay and report writing but I have also worked with students on study skills and careers advice. Most of my work comes by word-of-mouth, which I believe is testament to the level of service that I provide.

I am a lecturer with six years experience teaching Research Methods and Statistics classes at first and second year undergraduate level. I have expertise in the area of health psychology. I am an Academic Advisor, and have first year, second year and third year tutees. I also supervise undergraduate research projects requiring experimental design, statistical analysis and interpretation. I am responsible for the marking of coursework including essays, practical reports and presentations. I am also disability lead, where I work closely with students with physical and mental educational needs.
I learn best by simplifying and condensing concepts and information into understandable chunks. My approach to tutoring follows the same process of breaking down complex statistical formula, Psychological principles and key study skills into a more accessible level, without compromising full understanding. I truly believe that enthusiasm is infectious and any topic can be made engaging. I am energetic, enthusiastic and highly driven in all aspects of my work.
I am happy to assist with core topics, such as understanding and interpreting Statistics and key theoretical approaches in Psychology. I am also happy to assist with the processes of essay writing, practical reporting writing and exam preparation.

|Tutees Providing Positive Feedback:|
I would definitely recommend using him! He knows what he's talking about and if you're willing to listen and learn I have no doubt you'll achieve a good grade as well as an understanding of your topic.
Overall it was a very positive experience and I highly recommend Warren.
I would recommend Warren to anyone who feels they need that little bit of help with their work, after the first session with him I already felt I was in a better position with my work. I only wish I had found him sooner!!!
He was very helpful, taking time to listen to the areas of my dissertation that I needed help with.
I would certainly recommend him to other students.
Warren, was the first tutor and only tutor I contacted on the First Tutors website and with good reason, his academic and professional career spoke volumes.
If you are reading this review you maybe a little hesitant, I also had the same apprehension asking a tutor over a website, I did not know to assist me; but I am so happy I chose Warren. He is a brilliant tutor and you will not go far wrong with his help. Warren explains everything to you step by step and as simply as possible. Therefore, by the end of the assignment or statistical procedure which you are struggling with, you not only able to do the assignment or analysis, but you also have the ability to understand it's logic and when the "penny drops" I can bet, you, the same as me, will say "ahhhaha , I understand it now, it's actually so simple"!!!. Warren, does not tell you want you need to do nor does he do the work for you, you have to put the work in, but he will as a tutor guide you as any good teacher should to bring out the best in your ability; as well as providing you with positive and negative feedback, in a beneficial way. This is very important, as you will then be aware and know the areas which require improvement or extra attention.
If I had one problem overall; it was not with Warren or this website, it was the fact I did not find Warren sooner, especially whilst I was a struggling first and second year undergrad, with the grades to prove it. I know if I would of had Warren from year one, Week one, I would of had a lot more confidence in my statistical analysis, academic writing and exam preparation skills.
I really cannot recommend him enough to you, he was professional at all times and he understands the tutor role perfectly as he guided me through each section, he really cares and wants you to succeed and be the best you can be. If you are a first, second or third year student you will not be disappointed.
As I previously said, I am truly gutted that I only met him in my third year and not my first!!! Good Luck with your studies and if you choose Warren as your tutor, you will not go far wrong!!!
