I am a fully qualified teacher of maths in a successful secondary school, with a degree in Chemical Engineering from UCL.

After teaching and tutoring for several years, I have made a huge impact on hundreds of students. Many have raised their results by at least 2 grades from their predicted grades with my help.

I have personally boosted the results of students from both ends of the spectrum - from those who are absolutely terrified of anything related to maths to students who whizz through their maths content in school and require a constant challenge.

In addition, I specialise in mentoring students to enable them to adopt the best revision strategies that work effectively and help to maximise their grades.

Tutoring Experience

Here is what your child will experience in each tutoring session:

1) My ability to teach and impart knowledge efficiently - a summary of notes after every session is provided as a PDF file which can be accessed at any time.

2) Extensive knowledge and experience of teaching KS3, GCSE and A-level maths - I achieved an A* in A-Level Maths and I have honed my craft of teaching in schools which have one of the best maths results in the country.

3) An online homework tracker which records every independent work and homework that is submitted - this is a vital component in accelerating student's progress.

Tutoring Approach

Every student who is tutored is initially given a quick diagnostic test. I use this to tailor my teaching to ensure any weak areas can be tackled with fluency and problem solving tasks.

Students who require fluency practice are provided with lots of varied and interesting worksheets aimed at improving specific skills in Maths. If a concept is not understood well due to not understanding content in school or because of a new concept, I provide the best resources and assessment materials which can be accessed at any time.

For pupils who are already fluent in key skills in mathematics, I provide ample opportunities to develop their understanding by giving challenging problem solving tasks. This includes past papers as practice so that they can be familiar with the exam content and layout.
