Law Lessons in Bloomsbury

I possess an interactive approach to private law tutoring. In my opinion critical thinking can be developed in students by assessing their competence through discussions of different legal issues. Furthermore; academic merit can be nurtured by giving students assignments and coursework to test their analytical ability. It is my unique ability to breakdown technical legal concepts and simplify works written in a rigorous intellectual mould that sets me apart from other law tutors.

Tutoring Experience

My commercial acumen and passion for teaching law were nurtured during law school where I actively participated in law moots and legal discussions during lectures. I have learnt the art of teaching law by observing and interacting with the best in the business. I continued private law tutoring during my time at Nottingham Law School whilst doing the Legal Practice Course by providing private law tuition to various law and non-law students. I have recently completed an LL.M in Corporate law at University College London with a distinction on my dissertation and a merit overall. More importantly, overall I have over four years of private law tutoring experience as I started tutoring in my penultimate year of law school

Tutoring Approach

My objective is to make students think outside the box by developing their lateral thinking skills. As Professor John Finnis argues that as lawyers we analyse words like rules, being legal or illegal, valid or invalid, but for a jurist words have different shades of meaning. Hence a jurisprudential reflection on a subject matter requires going above and beyond what is prima facie the case so as to enquire into the rationale embodied in a rule. Therefore I always encourage my students to read any legal subject in purview of the bigger picture as this contextualised approach not only gives them confidence during exams but also helps them form pungent criticisms of their own.
