All that we are and all that surrounds us has always been fascinating to me. Learning Science is fulfilling for so many reasons and I would love to share this passion with someone else.
I am a newly qualified secondary school teacher, therefore my enthusiasm for teaching and learning is fresh and invigorated.
I have an extensive amount of experience both teaching and observing lessons. This has allowed me to pick up a number of different strategies that can be adopted when teaching science - particularly when teaching topics that are slightly more difficult to understand.
As a tutor, I understand that any individual who approaches me for help is someone who is very keen to achieve. For that reason, I will ensure that I provide guidance to the best of my ability so as to ensure that my tutee is given the best possible opportunity to achieve.
My teacher training allowed me the opportunity to pick up a number of different teaching approaches. My preferred approach to teaching emphasises a student-centred approach whereby the needs of each student is prioritised. Often, my classroom is full of rich discussion, group work, analogies, props/models and light-hearted humour. This is an approach I would like to bring into my tutoring sessions also.
Either way, I am happy to adapt my teaching approach to best suit the needs of my tutee.
Not just this - but I also have access to a range of excellent resources ! All of which will be of great benefit to my tutee.
