I am a working theatre-maker (writer, director, actor) and facilitator for young people (11-25). I am energetic, innovative and passionate about the development of drama, English and ultimately storytelling. Due to this, I am very interested in tutoring others one-to-one to impart my enthusiasm and attention to detail on my prospective students.
I am a First Class Honours BA graduate in English & Drama and I have over 6 years professional experience as a working theatre-maker with an interest in young people's work. Alongside working as an artist in theatre institutions such as the The Royal Court, Ovalhouse & Arcola Theatre; I also have experience working as both a Teaching Assistant & Cover Teacher in Hendon School (Barnet) , Christ College Boys (Finchley) & Mount Carmel School for Girls (Islington). This primarily included me supporting students in simplifying tasks set by the teachers, supporting in classroom management and having one-to-one time with SEN students to ensure their emotional and academic development.
I like to break down jargon into the simplest terms for the students to ease their understanding. Continuing from that, I would to apply the students own imaginations and ideas to the work to keep it individualized and exciting - but refer to the framework set by the student's institution for the highest mark. I would like to push the student to truly think critically about the provocation they are given and give answers they would be proud of.
