I am a caring and enthusiastic teacher, inspiring my pupils to achieve their potential. My pupils flourish within an engaging, interactive and nurturing environment - both stretching the more able learners and supporting with areas of challenge.
As well as teaching, I have a BA in Person-Centred Counselling, so have an understanding approach and ability to facilitate a growth in self-esteem as well as academic progress.
I am a mother of 3 children, aged 11, 9 and 7, so have an understanding of supporting education at home as well as within the classroom environment.
I work from a teaching office at the Chess Medical Centre in Chesham.
I currently teach Year 5 in a local primary school.
I also have experience teaching other primary year groups in both KS1 and KS2.
As a primary school teacher, I teach subjects across the curriculum, including maths, English, science, French, R.E., and topic.
I work creatively with the needs of my pupils, adapting my approach to their learning style and individual needs, both extending and supporting their learning as appropriate.
I am experienced in supporting children with additional needs such as dyslexia, autism and A.D.H.D.
I have a supportive approach, using my counselling skills to encourage a growth in self-esteem, thus helping to remove any blocks to learning.
