I am an experienced QTS/PGCE/MA/BA qualified and enthusiastic teacher with a wide range of subject skills and a love of teaching and tutoring. and undertake regular and continued professional development. I can tailor times and venues to your needs. I am also an Associate of the Dyslexia Guild - ADG FE/HE and a member of the Education and Training Foundation. I am continuing my professional development at the moment by working towards an MSc in Psychology (Conversion).
I offer and welcome Skype lessons for students around the UK and internationally.
I have been teaching and tutoring for 9 years in Further, Adult and Higher Education and experience of tutoring children and young people with Special Educational Needs and mental health issues. I am currently studying a MSc in Psychology.
In addition I tutor the following subjects: English, Philosophy, Religious Philosophy, Religious Studies, Government & Politics, Functional Skills - English and Academic and Study Skills. I can also support students with assignments on Critical Discourse Analysis.
I have also 18 years experience of tutoring children and young people who are home educated and I can support those working on Arts Awards as I am a qualified Coordinator. Lastly, I also teach English as a Foreign Language and English as a second language.
I tailor my tutoring to the tutee's needs and believe that confidence and motivation building as well as supporting academic and study skills are central to my role as a tutor in each of the subject areas that I cover. For some tutees face to face lessons are preferred but for others I offer Skype lessons for students around the UK and internationally.
