I am currently a PGDE student on my final placement. I thoroughly enjoy learning and teaching physics (it's the best science). It's a pleasure to build new relationships and guide pupils in the way of science.
As a parent myself, I know how important a child's education is. That is why I take teaching seriously.
I know from experience that learning takes place inside and out of the classroom. Sometimes something makes perfect sense in class, but as soon as you try it at home it's as if you've never seen it before. That's why it is extremely important to study often and to ask for help whenever needed, no matter how "simple" it may be. From experience, I know that getting a different perspective on the same material can make a big difference to understanding.
I have taught several classes from general science up to Higher level. I have knowledge of degree level physics and mathematics as I have completed degrees at University.
I have often tutored Higher pupils.
I generally go over past paper questions as that is the best way to practice for the exam. Being able to recognise the question is half the battle, so I like to have pupils focus on one particular area at a time. I also reteach part of the course should that be necessary.
Physics is often heavy on maths so I can always help with any maths, relating to physics, should that be necessary.
