I specialise in English tuition, from 11+ exam preparation through to A2. I have a Distinction in my Masters from Goldsmiths, University of London, a First Class honours degree from Cambridge University, and have been a full-time tutor for over two years, accumulating a wealth of experience that ensures I can discover the right approach for each tutee. I also tutor Government and Politics and Sociology at GCSE, AS, A2, and Undergraduate level.
I have worked at various schools in South London in managed interventions to help students achieve coursework and exam success, and have been involved in paid access work whilst at Cambridge, so I'm comfortable and experienced tutoring for all exam boards, and for all entrance exams. I am also an experienced public speaker and debate coach, and all my tuition is designed not just to bolster my tutees' techniques and understanding, but also their confidence and ability to enjoy the subject.
I have over four years worth of experience tutoring students in Undergraduate Politics, AS and A level Politics, History,
and English, multiple GCSEs, and preparation for entrance exams. My pupils consistently achieve the highest grades. I combine a warm and affable presence in the room with personally tailored methods and a meticulous approach to preparation.
Previously, I have taught Shakespeare in Beijing, and in schools and universities up the East Coast of the USA, as part of my work on international touring productions of Much Ado About Nothing, and Antony and Cleopatra. I have also participated in, taught, and judged debating and public speaking events in the USA, Italy, and around the UK, at school and university level.
At Cambridge and elsewhere, I have worked with and been taught by some absolutely outstanding teachers; I emulate them by combining my passion for the subject with an approach tailored to what each tutee needs. I emphasise the key skills of argument construction and communication throughout my work, and I thoroughly cover syllabus material, providing stimulating lessons which are perfect exam preparation.
