I am a fully qualified primary school teacher currently teaching at a school in the Norwich area. I have great experience and extended qualifications in upper key stage 2 (years 5 and 6) but feel equally confident and skilled across all year groups. This experience is a huge benefit when helping children through SAT's preparation. I have had great feedback in my teaching from colleagues, students and parents and I feel like I am able to make learning both fun and accessible. I finished my teaching qualifications with 'outstanding' which was a very proud moment and I felt like I have only developed more from this time.
I have had experience in every year group across the primary school range but my most recent and extended experience in teaching has been in upper key stage 2. I have experience teaching in Independent and State schools and I have enjoyed both equally, this has given me different approaches to teaching that I can use for any individual child.
Within my current school I am the PE coordinator due to my background of a Physical Education Degree and my continued enjoyment in sport playing for my Cricket and Football teams.
When tutoring I will have an approach that is appropriate to each child. Some children will need a gentle approach that slowly pushes them in the right direction, while others need a more direct approach that highly motivates the child to reach their goals and aspirations. A professional yet fun learning environment will be maintained at all times.
