Hello, I am a practicing artist and musician. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Fine Art from the Slade School of Art, University College London. I live in Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire, and I am happy to travel a reasonable distance.
I have 3 years experience tutoring in Fine Art, design and Art history. I can help students develop work for specific projects or in general to explore and encourage their own artistic practices, I have experience helping students with GCSE and A level projects / exams, and also to higher education / degree level. I teach group art classes and life drawing classes, personal tuition and one to one tutoring which can be focussed more on the practical side (eg. sketch book / project development) or on art theory and history side (eg. recommending artists work or exhibitions). I also have experience teaching guitar and music theory. I am currently training in TESOL to teach English as a foreign language.
My approach is very open to the particular concerns of each student. I am a creative, hard working and reliable individual. I believe good communication is central to supportive learning and development. My education and professional experience has taught me the ability to interact with students and colleagues in a relaxed, clear and professional manner and I am always prepared to learn and continue to develop my existing skill set. I am a very friendly person and believe in a supportive and encouraging approach with all students, art and creativity is my passion and I greatly enjoy working with and helping students feel more confident and inspired to learn and make. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
