Hey, I am currently studying for my Masters at the University of Nottingham, I see myself developing a career in Industrial Design/Mechnical Engineering, having spent the last 12 months as in intern at Dyson and have a strong academic background having attended one of the UK’s top Grammar Schools.
I want to note that listed prices can be reduced depending on the number of sessions which you commit to :)
I have been tutoring friends and family for around 3 years now mainly focused on 11+ entrance exams, with a 100% success rate so far and am now looking to expand my services to a wider range of students and subjects as I find tutoring extremely enriching, and seeing the development of knowledge and skills amongst those I teach is very rewarding!
I am also fortunate to have been taught by some great tutors, both in individual and group scenarios, and have to carried through and adapted the most effective and enjoyable methods I was exposed to within that time.
Having been exposed to intense academic rigour throughout my whole life, I know it can be a stressful time for students and parents alike, and so establishing a good understanding between myself and my student is the first and most important part of the process so that I am able to adapt my methods accordingly, everyone is different!
Ensuring that you, the student, trust me is key to your development and so I look to build that as early as possible. You wouldn’t believe the difference it makes and the confidence it breathes into students who suddenly feel able to ask questions. My friendly demeanour is key to this, and on your first session or call to meet one another I’m sure this would come through.
I am a firm believer that a teacher should be able to answer any questions the student may have on the studied subject, and so only offer my services in subjects to the level where I know I can do exactly this and provide the most professional service and feed a student’s passion or intrigue into a subject by offering in-depth and exciting answers.
I will always go the extra mile for you! I will accommodate extra sessions where I can and am agile in my session planning to ensure you are getting the most appropriate sessions.
To be clear, the Craft & Design sessions I offer are Industrial/Product Design sessions. This can be linked to a GCSE or A-Level syllabus, or also for those just trying to develop their CAD, sketching, ideation skills as well as design theory and key knowledge.
