Tutoring Approach

I focus on developing an understanding of my student, their needs, and the coursework requirements. A common strategy is to start the course work as early as possible and secure the best grades achievable as this allows for leverage should the exam be difficult. This entails unpicking and understanding the question being asked. From my years of experience students tend to do better at course work and less well within the limited time constraints of an exam environment. With my special needs students I synchronize with Effective Learning tutors, the Social Work Department and other internal and external agencies to secure the best support for my students. There is a strong correlation between work and grades which is important to understand and engage with at the start.
