I am a maths student at the University of St Andrews in my second year and I live in Brighton. I am happy to give in-person tutorials in St Andrews during term time or online tutorials both in the holidays and in term time. I am very well equipped to handle online lessons as I have a lot of experience with them both before and at university.

Tutoring Experience

I currently tutor multiple students alongside my studies at university, helping them prepare for tests as well as improving their knowledge of specific topics.

Most of my previous experience is from when I studied in Brighton. I have worked in The Learning Room near the bottom of Balfour Road tutoring students from primary to secondary school age. I have also volunteered in "drop in with the doubles" at BHASVIC, where I helped students in the year below me with A Level Maths work during my second year at college. While I was in Varndean Secondary school I spent a lot of time in maths catch up helping other students with work while I did my own.

Tutoring Approach

I am very flexible in each tutorial and often cover content on multiple topics depending on the student's needs. I teach based on what the student needs help with, or what they are interested in learning more about.

I find it helpful to go over the subject syllabus with the student to get an understanding of where they are with each topic. Then, we pick out some that they are interested in and go through practice questions.

I find model answers very helpful, and I will cover a selection of them for each topic so that the student has them to look back through when answering new questions.
