I am very personable and truly enjoy supporting students through the learning process. My aim in education is to facilitate students in a way that allows them to reach their potential in their own way.
I have solid knowledge of a wide-range of core subject areas in psychology in line with the QAA's Subject Benchmark Statement for Psychology. This is demonstrated by having both taught and published across a broad range of topics extending from social to cognate areas of psychology.
As both a lecturer and doctoral researcher I have been delivering lectures, computer-based workshops, and running small group tutorials and seminars for approximately six years. I have extensive experience of teaching and assessing a range of psychology subjects. These include statistics (at both undergraduate and postgraduate level), research methods (experimental, psychometric, and mixed methods), individual differences, psychology research in context, professional practice in psychology, and many more.
I have supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate projects. My experience includes supervising students from a number of courses such as; BSc (Hons) Psychology, BSc (Hons) Psychology with Sociology, BSc (Hons) Psychology with Criminology, PGDip/MSc in Psychology (BPS conversion course), MSc Applied Child Psychology, MRes/MSc Psychological Research Methods, and MSc Psychological Well-Being and Mental Health.
I take a very friendly taylormade approach to tutoring. This, I find, allows me to mould my teaching style to the requirements of the student themselves.
