I am a graduate in French and German from the University of Birmingham, and have spent 4 years working in various French and German sales roles, giving me a very high level of fluency in both languages. My laid back, friendly manner makes me very easy to get on with, whilst my passion and drive means I strive to overachieve in everything I do. I have a lot of external interests, including literature and sports and I love to travel and eat great food. Spending time abroad broadened my horizons, as well as cementing my French and German knowledge.
I spent 2 school years as an English Language Assistant in various schools in Austria. I have also taught foreign students at a local summer school for 3 years between 2008-2010. I have done French and German tutoring periodically since university but I am now aiming to make a 2nd career out of it.
My approach to tutoring is extremely flexible. On introduction, I will find out the pupils aims and objectives, as well as ascertaining their level and areas for improvement. I have worked with pupils already working to a curriculum, as well as with clients looking to learn independently. I like to formulate a clear plan before the first session so clients are only paying for tuition and not planning, I am very much a believer in working with people to help them achieve success, and not merely instructing them.
