My name is Thanh and I'm 27 years old. I am currently a qualified secondary school Geography teacher in Birmingham and have experience with both teaching and assisting at several schools within the city over the past 5 years. I read my degree in Geography at The University of Birmingham (2.1 BA Hons) with my dissertation gaining a first. I also have a MSc (Postgraduate qualification) in Human Geography from The University of Birmingham. In addition to this I have A-Levels in Geography, ICT and Government and Politics.
I believe due to my experiences within teaching, as well as experiencing various examinations from both a pupil and teacher perspective, that I am able to relate to students at all levels and ages as I am knowledgeable in study skills and aiding effective revision methods and academic content. Indeed, I have first hand experience within a Red Brick University and am more than willing to share my experiences and knowledge with potential pupils. I have experience with Geography from OCR, AQA, Edexcel and WJEC examination boards so am aware of what is needed.
I believe myself to be reliable, knowledgeable and helpful and am willing to always go above board in order to ensure progress is made within the discipline. If there are any questions, please ask - I believe my fees are reasonable and reflect the level of expertise that is required.
Secondary School Geography and R.E. Teacher teaching years 7-11 with experience at Post 16. I have also tutored my 4 sisters throughout the GCSE exams - even in areas not encountered before (Graphics) when she achieved a A overall in addition to several tutees at GCSE and A level who have achieved their target grades expected or excelled.
Everyone learns differently and everyone has different learning requirements. As a result, I will always tailor my tutoring style towards your needs and will tutor according to the age and level. This is similar to how I would plan for lessons within my school - differentiation is key and by doing so I believe learning can be made more interesting and accessible.
