We found Terence through First Tutors after reading numerous positive reviews. Our goal was to provide our Year 6 son with extra support as he approached his SATS exams. Terence has proven to be an excellent and patient teacher. Our son has established a great rapport with him and performed well in his SATS. Consequently, he continues to receive Terence's guidance as he enters Year 8. While the primary focus is on maths, they also delve into the English curriculum. Moreover, the lessons are consistently engaging, offering valuable insights across various subjects. I would definitely recommend Terence if you're seeking a tutor.

Terence is a first-rate teacher.

He has tutored my daughter through her GCSEs while she has been unable to fully attend school. And between the lessons he has set homework and study plans to support her self-guided work at home. Terence has moved effortlessly across different subjects (Maths, English, Science, Computing and Geography) when required. And the extra sessions he squeezed in around exam time (running through practice exam questions, sometimes late into the evenings) will, I am sure, have made a big difference.

Terence is extremely patient and knowledgeable and right on top of the current curriculums.

My daughter enjoyed her lessons and Terence’s constant encouragement and flexibility have been invaluable in building her confidence when sitting her GCSEs. She believes she has done well in them.

Terence was a very good tutor for my 15 year old son. He was patient and explained topics well . The lessons were always backed up with some relevant homework and his assistance marking practice exam papers was much appreciated.

Terence is a great maths tutor. My 13 year old son was struggling with his maths at high school. We are very fortunate to find Terence in our local area, my son isn’t too confident, but he feels comfortable and his confidence grows when he’s having his tuition. Terence explains thoroughly all forms of equations in an easy, simplified way. We have an hours tuition once a week and I can really see my sons confidence in maths building after every visit.
We are definitely going to continue these lessons for the foreseeable future.

My son really struggled with Maths and did not let on to us how much of struggle he had until he had a melt down in the November before his GCSE's. He was not predicted to pass. However, with the support and excellent teaching provided by Terence he helped my son turn it around in a very short amount of time and he successfully passed his Maths GCSE enabling him to go the 6th form of his choice, without the worry and stress of a re-sit. He couldn't of done it without Terence, and we will all be forever grateful. He has also been tutoring my daughter since September who is taking her GCSE's this year, and she has enjoyed it that much and doing so well, she is now considering doing Maths at A level, and if so would like Terence to carry on tutoring her throughout this.

Terrence has done a wonderful job tutoring my daughter from year ten to now (year 11). He's not only taught her the maths curriculum, but has also done a great job of building up her confidence and self-esteem when confronting difficult maths questions.

Mr was very prompt to contact me and arrange sessions for my daughter… My daughter enjoys going … the sessions are relaxed and at a pace that is suitable for my daughter… He gives brilliant examples to explain certain facts … would recommend Mr to anyone who is seeking a tutor.

Terence has been a great help to our daughter

My Daughter seems happy with the initial two sessions she has had with Terence so far.
She is a nervous and socially introvert person so it may take time to build up confidence with her, but I can see that it will happen as she was happier on way home after Wednesday.

Easy to get in contact with and arrange maths tuition.
Great approach and manner with my son.
Has made a plan and ensures my son understands each section before moving on.
Would recommend as tutor to all ages.
