Personal Description:

Hello to whom ever is looking at my profile. I have recently completed my degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine Bsc at first class level, from the University of Nottingham. In my second year of university I ranked at the top of my class, having achieved an average on 78% across all my modules. My degree has given me an excellent understanding on the core concepts of fundamental chemistry and biology and allowed me to use this understanding while conducting scientific experiments during my dissertation. Due to my interest in medicine and the human body, I aim to be a doctor and will starting the graduate medicine course at the University of Warwick, in September 2017.

During secondary school, I achieved 8 A*'s and 2 A's, and at A levels I got A in Biology, A* in Psychology and B in Chemistry. I hope my academic achievements showcase my passion and enthusiasm for my chosen subjects, in particularly the sciences. I think its also important to mention that during my application to medicine I prepared for and sat the BMAT, UKCAT and GAMSAT. I achieved a score in the top ten percent in all of these tests. With a score of 740 in the UKCAT 2016, a score of 63 (58 , 59 essay section, 67 science section). During my application process I received interviews from all of my chosen options and ultimately got two offers, from which I chose Warwick Medical school. Therefore, if you would like to apply for medicine I can help you to navigate this difficult and challenging process from admissions exams all the way to interview practice. Having gone though the process just recently, I have a very good understanding on the tips and tricks you can use in order to maximise your chances.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a teaching assistant at the maths and english teaching centre called KUMON, for the last two years. I have been assisting in secondary to A level Maths and English tutoring.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to have a very structured lesson, in which I would explain the key concepts of a certain topic to the student, whilst understanding the misconceptions or problems that they have with the material. I would then present them with questions, which they would answer in a time limited manner. I would then go through the answers with the student and help them to understand the logic behind their mistakes and help them to understand how they can avoid these mistakes in the future. I think its important to be calm and to truly listen to the students concerns, only then can you help them to better their academic performance.
