A fully-qualified teacher, I am a mathematics graduate who works at a school in West Yorkshire. My enthusiasm and inspiration are drawn from family life, study, teaching, community work and sport.
In addition to having tutored for over 10 years, I mark national examinations at AS and A2 level. I supported first and second-year engineering students at Bradford University with the mathematics components of their courses.I am also a member of The Association of Teachers of Mathematics (ATM) and the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM). I possess a firm grasp of mathematics and a very good awareness in respect of the preparation required for examination success.
The vast majority of students that I have tutored to date have endorsed my effectiveness at breaking down and explaining clearly some of the more difficult concepts; often, tutees have remarked: "Wow, that was easier than I thought!".
I am approachable, calm and anxious to raise self-motivation as well as build the confidence of the tutee. I encourage students to be organised and to stick to a disciplined study schedule. As much as possible, I urge students to work to agreed deadlines and to maintain effective study habits.
Throughout our journey, you will find me committed and prepared to go that extra mile!
