One of the things i love most is sharing ideas, teaching and facilitating the knowledge of chemistry and the life sciences to younger minds. I believe that it is imperative that we as scientific researchers and graduate help the younger generation of potential new scientists and doctors get into the sciences and enjoy it. It can be difficult at times and i myself was at that position for a long time and i understand that it can be frustrating, therefore from my experience i try to help as many A-level students i can.
I hаve experience in tutоring AS-levels students in Chemistry. I hаve а mаsters degree in Medicinаl Chemitry. I аm currently а PhD student wоrking in Biоtech аnd Biоengineering sо will be аble tо аlsо help in A-level biоlоgy. I hаve аlsо mаnаged аnd tutоred undergrаduаte students fоr the pаst 2 yeаrs.
Most of my experience comes from A-level and degree level tutoring. These are huge step from the previous level and i completely understand that there maybe concepts that are very difficult to understand. I am a person who likes to visualize things so my teaching methods always involve drawing out molecules and color coding to help facilitate the students learning. Another method which i find helpful and have used a fair bit is problem solving. I will let the student analyse the data without me helping, of course i will be supervising and occasionally nudge them towards the right answer. This will help the student to think more logically and gain problem solving skills.
