I realised that I am good in tutoring quite earlier on in my life when my younger sister complemented me for helping her to understand difficult topics when we were in school. It is my passion that really developed whilst I was raising my children as we traveled across the world that I am loving to continue. Following the completion of PhD in Molecular Biology I enjoyed working in Breast cancer research so I have deeper understanding of practical aspects of Science. This enables me to help my tutees to develop understanding of how to solve higher level multi-step problem solving questions in both science and math.
I have followed my passion for teaching after career change and worked in Secondary education. I have experience of tutoring students of various abilities including SEN and EAL with the average improvements of upto 3 grades.
Tutoring is a two way process where I look to know the needs of a tutee and look for unique and engaging ways to build upon their knowledge which gives huge boost to their confidence. Having up-to-date knowledge of different exam board specifications and a wealth of resources, I am able to constantly tailor my tutoring to the needs and interest of my tutees
