I am a fully qualified teacher of English Language & Literature (AQA, Eduqas and Edexcel) with over 20 years experience teaching in the classroom, and offering private tuition for 4 years. I have now retired to solely undertake private tuition. Having been the internal verifier, and lead in preparing and delivering - L2 English language programme, has provided a good knowledge base. Marking for AQA English Language and Edexcel Functional Skills has assisted in having a high pass rate. My specialist area is GCSE English, and also have qualifications in SEN and ESOL.
I have experience in teaching primary maths and English. FACE-TO-FACE (Hereford) OR ONLINE.
I have group workshops for language and literature commencing in August.

I have also taught students who are Home-Educated (IGCSE), private tuition, and GCSE English at an Hereford college.

Tutoring Approach

My methodology is chunk teaching and reinforcement to engage and motivate learners. Making the learning fun and accessible is key. I always have high expectations of students and endeavour to build confidence, and self-esteem. All students can achieve with the right approach. Offering regular homework and assessing learning at each stage allows student to monitor their progress. A good education opens more pathways.
