I am a qualified Maths teacher with over 10+ years teaching in secondary schools. I teach all years from year 7 to 13. I also have extensive experience tutoring students from 11-18 for over 10 years. I graduated from University of Southampton with a BSc in Mathematics and a Masters in PGCE teacher training in secondary Mathematics. Whilst at University I studied, in depth all core, mechanics and stats.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for 10 years and have taught in several schools in and outer London. My most recent post was as a Head of Maths in a high attaining department in a school in South East London. I teach A level Maths, including Mechanics and Decision Maths and all Core modules. Furthermore I teach GCSE Maths as well as the KS3 curriculum. I also have knowledge on the new Maths mastery curriculum based on the new GCSE learning style.

As a head of Maths I have plenty of experience and knowledge on the new GCSE examinations that were sat for the first time in the summer of 2017. I aim to enhance the individuals skills by providing them with various resources that will help them during exams.

Furthermore I have been an examiner for the GCSE's that were sat in the summer of 2017 so understand where marks are awarded and lost. I have also been an examiner for A Level Maths in the most recent years.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to enhance the individuals skills by providing them with various resources that will help them during exams. I will work on strengths and weaknesses to ensure all knowledge is constantly recapped and students don't forget how to do basics, as this is where mistakes are often lost in exams. Overall, I aim to help wherever possible and most importantly, on whatever the individual needs. I am able to develop on students knowledge in order to provide them with the best skills possible to achieve a good result in Maths. Working in a school I have the benefit of access to exam resources and success criteria.
