Do you know someone studying GCSE or A-Level maths? Let me help them get the grade they want to achieve. I have been teaching in mathematics since 2008 and I have been privately tutoring since 2015 alongside running my website which helps students to use their calculator fully.

A resourceful and innovative teacher of mathematics, I have experience of classroom, online and one-to-one tuition. My primary areas of specialism are A-level and GCSE mathematics, most especially getting GCSE students ready for exams. I enjoy developing resources and helping students to obtain the knowledge and motivation necessary to achieve their desired qualification.

I am a fully qualified teacher and I am familiar with the recent curriculum changes at GCSE and A-Level

Tutoring Experience

I teach GCSE and A-level mathematics and have experience in preparing students for exams and in calculator tuition. At present I am not teaching A-level Further Maths.

I have over 13 years of teaching students GCSE maths, especially focussing on 16+ learners who are retaking their GCSE exam at Further Education/College level. For the past 9 years, I have expanded into teaching A-level mathematics and have good experience with the pure maths, statistics and mechanics.

I have also been an associate examiner for AQA for A-level mathematics since 2014. Examining has provided an insight into key misconceptions and areas for improvement that students could make.

Tutoring Approach

Relaxed and student focused. I very much respond to what the student needs but with additional emphasis on exam preparation and best practice. We can work on homework, practice papers or focus in on specific topic needs.

I can teach prearranged topics and help with homework and exam questions where necessary. Available online and in-person for the Derby/Burton area
