I am a qualified primary school teacher with experience of teaching in years 3,4 and 5. I have taught children with a range of different abilities. I have also received qualifications for the 1:1 tution scheme in which I tutored two children in year 7. I am passionate about teaching and find it extremely rewarding to see children progress with their learning.
I taught in year 4 for four years and year 3 for two years at a school in Bishop's Stortford. I also have experience of teaching in year 5. I have tutored two year 7 children, teaching them basic English skills. I have strong knowledge of early maths, reading and writing skills and have a range of strategies in order to teach them successfully.
I have also worked in summer camps, working with children with a range of abilities.
I am currently working in further education.
I think it is important to establish a safe learning environment in which the child feels that they are being supported. I believe that every child is unique and that they all learn in different ways. I plan to work closely with parents and class teachers in order to discuss strategies that are effective for the child. I will prepare each session well in advance as I believe it is important to get the most out of every session.
