Personal Description:

An Oxford-educated future pupil barrister with 6 years experience in private tuition. I offer a rigorous yet engaging tuition service to intrepid pupils of English and the Humanities, including Law, Classics, Religious Studies and Media Studies. I also offer my services to students about to embark upon school and university admissions exams. I believe in providing stimulating, fun and challenging tuition to young people experiencing a range of difficulties. By instilling a genuine interest in the subject, I can achieve on average a 1-3 grade improvement.

Tutoring Experience:

After teaching pupils in Key Stage 2 & 3 for 2 years I began working for Accelerate Tuition and Oxbridge Success at the beginning of my undergraduate years, and then moved on to private tuition. I also teach prisoners in Young Offenders Institutions as part of a Gray's Inn pro bono programme.

Tutoring Approach:

A visual learner won’t respond to hours of lecturing and an oral learner won’t learn from a 500 page textbook. Flexible, tailored tuition is the only route to real examination success. I prefer to engage in discussion with my students rather than lecturing as this is the only style that encourages long-term intellectual development.

Qualifications:

  • University of Oxford (2014) - BA(Hons) English Language & Literature (Bachelors) (✔ On File)
Native Language: English (British)
Additional Languages: German
Availability: Weekends / Weekdays (all times)
References Available: Yes (✔ On File)
