Sophie
Hello, my name is Sophie. I am currently in my third year teaching secondary science and psychology. I specialise in Biology (Key stage 4) and Psychology (Key stage 4 and 5). I aspire to support students to achieve their full potential. I have experience with students of all different academic backgrounds and learning needs. Through tutoring I strive to create a learning environment that is adapted to support each individual.
Tutoring Experience
I have experience of all three sciences at Key Stage 3, Health and Social Care (Key stage 4 and 5), Higher GCSE Biology (AQA specification) and Psychology GCSE and A Level (AQA specification).
Tutoring Approach
My teaching approach is to tailor around the specific needs of each individual student. I specialise in using metacognitive strategies to support students understanding of their own learning. I am able to go over subject content, provide exam skill technique and support, exam questioning and marking.
