Personal Description:

Hi! I am a friendly 25 year old graduate currently in my 4th year studying medicine at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

I offer help to prospective medical students prepping for medical school interviews. I can help students come up with personalised answers to common interview questions, help students understand basic ethics principles in medicine, and run mock interviews. I can do a series of sessions with students or am happy to do one off sessions too.

I have a lot of experience with medical school admissions, having received interviews and offers for the extra-competitive graduate entry programmes at all the medical schools I applied to (Kings, Barts, Warwick and Newcastle) and from sitting on the interview panel at my university. I have also run workshops at local schools which helps Sixth Formers with the application process, personal statement writing, interview preparation and preparing for admissions tests.

I also tutor Biology GCSE, and Psychology GCSE and AS/A level

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Tutoring Experience:

2015 – 2016: Workshops at local schools on: UKCAT, personal statements, interview technique. I also give talks at schools encouraging people to apply to medicine and giving an overview of the admissions process

2014: Worked as a classroom assistant at Freemantle’s school in Woking

2012 – 2013: Taught Psychology at a school in Durham throughout the year during a university module (‘Psychology into Schools’)

2010 – Worked for 5 months at a school in Borneo teaching basic science

Tutoring Approach:

I really enjoy tutoring and want students to enjoy being tutored by me too! I usually arrive with an idea of what I think the most important points for students to focus on are, but I like to adapt this to individual students’ needs and wishes. Some students are more aware of what exactly they need to focus on, but others might feel overwhelmed and unsure of where to begin – I am very happy to help both kinds of students. Overall, I want to make students feel comfortable in an informal but focussed environment.
