Personal Description:

I am a fifth year Medical student at the University of Cambridge. I specialise in Maths and entrance exams, because I did Further Maths and Maths to A Level with A* in both. I also did the BMAT and UKCAT so I can tutor prospective medical applicants. I am a friendly, and easily approachable person, who has experience in tutoring people of many ages.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored 6-7 GCSE Maths students in the past, as well as 3 students for their 11+ exams, and 3 students in GCSE Sciences. I was a teaching assistant at a Kumon centre, helping students of all ages with their Maths and English. In Year 13, I tutored a Year 12 in Biology AS Levels. All of my students have had great success in their exams. In 2016, I attended a 2 week insight course by TeachFirst, based in London and Leeds, and so also have experience in classroom teaching.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that the tutoring style must be adapted to the particular individual, and I offer a versatile style of tutoring. I believe that tutoring is a very effective way to reinforce what has been taught in lessons, because even while being at Medical School, reviewing the same topic using a different approach helps me to understand the key concepts better. I am also aware of how the appropriate tutoring style can increase a person's enthusiasm for the subject, encouraging him/her to become independent in his/her learning.
