Information About Simon - Oxford tutor - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Simon:
I am a professional research scientist currently working at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy. As I have daily experience with the applicaton of Physics and Maths I am kept constantly up to date with the science world and like to bring many practical and real world examples to my teaching.
I have had significant experience tutoring undergraduate Physics at the University of York, which I found immensly rewarding and enjoyable. I also have experience tutoring Alevel and GCSE Physics and Maths.
In my professional job I give public lectures, tours of our huge facility and go into schools giving talks to large groups on the merits and practicalities of energy research. I am an active member of the Institute of Physics.
As well as one to one tuition, I also offer group sessions to help keep costs down. Our first session will establish our specific goals, identify any areas with which you are not confident and then map out how we plan to acheive those goals. I have acess to GCSE and ALevel sylabuses, past papers and a variety of excellent textbooks. As both Physics and Maths are skills to be practiced, I offer to set work to be done outside the tutoring sessions as this may be invaluable to your progress.

It's obviously quite early days, but I think you are doing a great job. Elena really enjoys her sessions with you and seems to be getting a lot out of them. Both she and I appreciate your commitment, enthusiasm and general niceness. Thank you.
