Private Physics and Chemistry Tuition in Leicester

I am a qualified science teacher, often working as a supply teacher in secondary schools when I am not working university contracts.

I also have 25 years of teaching experience in Higher Education and Further Education - I was a Senior Lecturer in Chemistry at the University of Cardiff and also at the University of South Australia, with physical and computational chemistry as my research speciality (65 published research papers). More recently I taught Chemistry at the University of Surrey and at De Montfort University International College in Leicester. Tutoring A-Level physics, chemistry and mathematics has long been a sideline for me even before I qualified as a school teacher.

I am also a CELTA qualified and experienced teacher of English as a Foreign Language (EFL), English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and Business English (5 years of EFL teaching experience gained in the UK, in Germany, in Poland and in Australia). I spend most Summers teaching EAP at Leicester University. So if you require A-Level science tuition and English is not your first language then perhaps I should be your first choice.

I am a British, native English speaker who has worked in several countries; I speak fluent German and intermediate Polish. I am based in Stoneygate, but I will travel to most locations within the city of Leicester at no extra charge to you. However, if the round trip exceeds 10 miles then an additional £5 travel charge will apply.
