I am a research assistant who enjoys teaching in my free time. I have a passion for science and mathematics which spurred me to carry out A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics at sixth form. I then went on to complete a BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Southampton and have more recently carried out a MSc in Molecular Medicine at Brunel University.
Whilst in my third year at the University of Southampton, I was a part of the Bioscience Mentoring shceme, where I helped first year students who were struggling with their coursework. This is when I first realised my passion for teaching mathematics. Since graduating from university, I have tutored multiple GCSE students in Maths from December 2014 until May 2017, helping these students to reach their target grades and reach their full potential.
I am friendly, encouraging and patient, and enjoy helping children/young adults with mathematics, through my passion of the subject. I am highly organised, therefore like to have lessons planned and usually encourage feedback from my tutees on what they may want to focus on in our next session, so that I can prepare beforehand and bring any books or equipment required.
