I am currently a PhD student at University College London in the field of Artificial Intelligence. I have graduated with a MSc in Computational Finance at UCL and a First Class Honours in BSc Mathematics with Music at the University of Surrey. I am energetic, enthusiastic and approachable. I enjoy teaching as it gives me a chance to engage with students enabling them to achieve their highest potential. I enjoy witnessing the journey from complete bemusement to solid understanding of a topic. The natural energy and inquisitiveness of children motivates me to teach to the best of my ability and to ensure the child is above all enjoying his lesson.
My teaching career began at the London School of Tuition with Primary to GCSE level Mathematics. I am currently teaching privately and at West London Tutors all levels from Primary to A-level students. I have also led undergraduate level introductory programming classes for Matlab and Python as well as numerous drop-in sessions at school and university for more general mathematics help at all levels.
My no.1 aim for a lesson is to make it fun, enjoyable and engaging. I like pushing the student to try as hard as they can, to keep learning and to keep asking questions to broaden their knowledge. I always focus heavily on the basics so when we start work on the more advanced material we have a strong foundation on which to build on. I believe practise and repetition with past exam papers is essential to achieving success.
I offer tuition in all levels of mathematics up to and including A-Level. I also provide lessons in programming in Python and Matlab. I do not provide support for the Computing A-Level or GCSE exams.
