Personal Description:

I am an ONLINE teacher who loves teaching. As our world becomes increasingly technological, it is important for children and adults to understand the different mediums of education available to them and the various ways in which one can learn and later use those skills in school and work place settings.
I personally specialise in special education, language acquisition, literacy and maths and have taught in Canada, France and most recently, the UK. I have clients from all over the world and I am well-versed in secondary, elementary and foundational education. I am also able to teach college, university and work courses having taught Business English, ESL and French at those levels.
I am a friendly, well-travelled, multi-lingual qualified teacher who makes sure her students remember what they learn and enjoy learning it.
I have completed four degrees as well as a TESL certification. My first degree was at University of Toronto, a well-reputed Ivy League university in Canada in English, Political Science and Women's Studies. After, I went to Université of Québec à Trois Rivières to complete studies in French. Continuing my love for language, diversity and culture, I decided to become a teacher. I am now certified to teach students of all ages of all different abilities as I also took courses in differentiation and special education. Finally, at University of Ottawa I did my Masters in Foreign Language Education.

Tutoring Experience:

I have focused my teaching career in literacy and languages as well as all primary subjects and core secondary and college ones. I have been teaching for the past 5 years throughout my studies as well as planning my own classroom. As a qualified teacher I have tutored at a variety of institutes. It is important to make teaching accessible to students and there are a variety of ways in which this can be done. I have tutored my peers, friends as well as students from nursery to university level. I tutored my younger brothers as a child to fellow students in secondary school and university in a variety of subjects. As an educator, I had the opportunity to differentiate children's learning so they could access learning as easily as possible.
All levels - Primary, Secondary to Adult- English, French, ESL, Social Studies, Primary Math, Science, Phonics, Vocabulary, Elocution

Tutoring Approach:

Each student's journey to learning is different. In the classrooms I have taught in, each child is equipped with different gifts and abilities that can be accessed in different ways. One must be able to differentiate and accommodate for the changes that can and will occur within curriculum and within someone's learning. It is also about ensuring each learner is confident taking those steps within learner. It is one of the primary reasons why learners can back away from certain subjects. Helping people access a strong foundation for learning to occur.
