This is how 4 referees rated Shelley:
My name is Shelley and I am currently studying a degree in Mathematics and Statistics with the Plymouth University. In my spare time I enjoy reading, knitting and spending time with my friends.
I have been tutoring for about 2 years now. Currently I have a number of GCSE students, with various exam boards and abilities who I am tutoring. I tailor the tutoring around the needs of the individual student and what they hope to achieve. All of my current students have made great progress which has been positively recognised by both their parents and their schools.
When I attended sixth form, I worked with Year Nine students developing revision methods according to their learning style in preparation for their Key Stage 3 exams. I use this knowledge to help out all of my students who are preparing for exams.
I was an Air Cadet for six years and during my time there I was in charge of teaching the new cadets all the skills necessary for their first class tests for around four years. The majority of my cadets passed first time.
Learning from my own experience, I feel that past papers are the best way to prepare for an exam. You can keep track of your expected grades, practise working in exam conditions and writing answers in the correct format and also they highlight areas of study which you need to do some extra work on. If you combine this with a revision method that works for you and your learning style you should achieve what you want to achieve.
I do all of my sessions online as this allows me to travel freely between university and home.
