I am a French Law graduate, fully bilingual. I have completed the vocational course to become a solicitor in the UK( Legal Practice course) in 2011.
I currently work for an insurance company as an In- House Broker and my job requires to draft and interpret contractual provisions. DBS checked Sept 2016.
I am very enthousiatic and disciplined. I believe that with hard work, method and discipline anything can be achieved.
I was a Law lecturer and tutor in East Africa for 2 years.
I set exams for the students which were validated by the examination board in Bordeaux and taught following the Grenoble University curriculum.
I have also given private French tuition to American soldiers posted in the Horn of Africa.
I have a good knowledge of the OCR and AQA syllabii.
My approach is to break down the subject into manageable chunks, go through the key areas and consolidate by practising either with exercises or past exam subjects.
As for French, it depends whether the tutee is an adult or a student. Naturally, an adult will be more interested in being able to have a conversation, therefore the topics will be around expressing thoughts and understanding a basic conversation in French.
With students, the focus will be on the curriculum and ensure the basics are understood and applied correctly. A greater emphasis will be placed on exam techniques and practice exam questions.
