I have always helped children with their studies as I passionately believe in giving them the best start in life. I studied GCSE and A-Level Bengali in the UK and went to primary school in Sylhet, Bangladesh. I have earned more money doing other work but teaching is what makes me happy.

Children often lack confidence when they struggle with a subject. My aim is to make them realise they can achieve their goal if they put in the effort. I mostly teach Modern Standard Bangla and Sylheti dialect. This is very rewarding for me as Bengali people in the UK want their children to learn their mother tongue but don't have the time, ability or teacher to do so. I have a keen interest in languages and I am also learning Sanskrit the ancient mother language of Bengali.

Tutoring Experience

• Taught children and adults for over 5 years.
• I teach standard Bengali and Sylheti dialect.
• I have passed GCSE and A-Level in Bengali.
• I have also been teaching Maths, Science and English at primary and KS3 level.
• I have passed full DBS check.

Tutoring Approach

• I understand that each individual is different and aim to make learning enjoyable and rewarding.
• I prepare each lessons in advance and can give homework to accelerate the teaching.
• When teaching standard Bengali I follow the Bangladesh government school books and interactive materials.
• I give the students background to the subject to make it more enjoyable.
• I only teach online via Zoom and Google Meet, using screen sharing, pdf, books, videos and interactive materials.
• I give honest feedback and if things aren't working out then I'll let you know.
