About myself… I am a cheerful person with a positive attitude to life particularly when it comes to achieving our goals. I believe, you can do it as long as you believe it and believing is the first big step to achievement. Therefore, I am quite an inspiring and motivating person in my day to day communication with my friends and it reflects on to my profession.
I believe in the growth mindsets. With resilience and hard work, every learner can reach their targets. To have the right attitude to learning and self-improvement, coaching and professional guidance from experienced and inspiring teachers is essential. I am one of them.
Apart from a teacher, who am I? I am quite an active person and do a number of sports from yoga, running, cycling to zumba in my personal life. I love relaxing music and international dance songs from Latin to European dance music. I enjoy reading and photography a lot. Teaching and learning are my passions, and my personal life supports my profession most effectively.
I am a DELTA qualified EFL Teacher with a first degree in English Teacher Education and a Master of Arts in English Linguistics from University College London. I also hold a TESOL qualification in addition to Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector certificate. So far, I've taught in different language and further education colleges in London in addition to summer schools all over England. I have also worked for a supplementary school, where I tutored bilingual school pupils from Key Stage 1 to GCSE level. I had experience as a Head Teacher at a summer school in Loncolnshire. Currently, I am running my own business as a Priavate Tutor and Director of Studies for St Joseph Foundation UK.
In order to make sure my students get the right study programme planned for them, I offer a free first meeting that lasts 30 minutes. This is a part of my structured and systematic approach to teaching and learning.
I am ambitious with my learners and I enjoy tutoring as long as I can see the results as soon as possible. I have many times received immediate feedback from teachers on my students' progress in their classes. I make sure I track the progress of my students and pupils at school; or in their daily lives if they are learning English as a foreign language. I believe teaching is more than explaining; it is inspiring and motivating the learner to get closer to his/her goals. I feel thrilled when my students pass their tests with the mark they aim to get.
I have an academic approach to learning. Every learner is a case study for me. Working on research studies in curriculum and bilingualism, I get inspired teaching by private students remarkably. I have a particular interest in the way EAL students learn and I have been told to be very good at motivating my learners particularly for their exams such as 11+, 13+, GCSE, IELTS and various Cambridge exams.
I never give up on students, and I believe each and every individual I teach will get there at some point. I am perseverant with my lessons.
