History Of Art
I am a practicing teacher and artist. I have many years of teaching experience and over 25 years of art practice. Having graduated with a Bachelors in art and design,1st Class, I have been Fortunate In continuously being able to practice what I preach and set up exhibitions, promote and sell my art work in art shops and at art events.
Qualifying as a PGCE PCET teacher in further education in 2009 I have been working with all different age groups since. From primary school teaching and workshops, secondary teaching education and further education, both within college and outside, from ages 16 to 80. Teaching experiences have included teaching art workshops to primary school children in painting and drawing and teaching life drawing and still life drawing to further education students. Alongside this I have taught one to one tutorials and tutoring with students at primary and at further education level. My passion for art history as well as art practice has led me to make a series of lectures on art history within colleges. Art workshops for primary/secondary and further education as part of charity projects as well as a range of school projects working with primary school children in creating art for a arts trail and mural projects.
My approach to tutoring is a strong commitment to helping students realise their potential have fun and pass. Hard work and fun work better together. Being able to teach students and pupils and learn from them is a privilege and very rewarding. I
