I am passionate about music. My interest in music was well established at a very young age after I started taking violin and piano lessons. Throughout my music studies I passed several instrumental and theory examinations of ABRSM, Guildhall Schools and Classical Conservatoire of Cyprus. During my early studies I had the good fortune of attending master classes by Martinos Tirimos, Kazimiez Gierzont and Gwenneth Pryor. I also had the pleasure to take part in the First Steinway competition for young pianists in Cyprus. From 2000 to 2002 I went to Athens to continue my musical studies. There, I completed the following modules; piano, harmony, sol fez and choir. Within the two years I stayed in Athens I had thoroughly enjoyed studying music so when I returned back to my home country I was inspired and provoked to further my study at the Arte Music Academy of Cyprus. The course in Music that I was accepted at the Arte Music Academy enabled me to attended modules such as piano performance, composition, music-therapy, violin, singing, chamber music, orchestration, counterpoint and fugue. After a three-year course I was awarded the Higher National Diploma in Music studies. Following this, I decided to come to London for a year and broaden my knowledge in Music Composition at Middlesex University. In September 2007 I was accepted by the Goldsmiths College (University of London) for the MMUS Composition (Acoustic) program.
I do have solid background in teaching piano and theory. Currently I work at Children’s Music House as a Piano tutor for children’s group and one-to-one for children’s and adults. At Arachne, a Greek Cypriot Woman’s Organisation, as a choir director Adults Choir and as a tutor in adults group piano sessions. I am also the founder of music school of GPA (Greek parents Association) and I coordinate the youth choir and orchestra and piano group for children. I have recently founded KITE Music, an organisation, which promotes Greek and Cypriot culture abroad. In conjunction with Greek Parents Association in UK and the Cyprus High Educational Mission in UK I am offering a series of music workshops for children that they have the Greek language as a second language. I am working at the Greek Secondary School in London and at Hazelwood Greek School preparing students for performances and school events. I am also giving private piano and theory lessons for all ages and levels.
