Personal Description:

Hi!

My name is Sarah and I have prior teaching experience in different fields. I have just completed a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and took a high level of science and languages during my pre-university education. I have decided to extend my education by taking the route of a dual bachelors degree in Computer Science in addition to Biochemistry.

I have travelled many parts of the world and lived in different places for extended periods of time, hence I will be sure to give you a broad view on your subject of choice from a multitude of perspectives, hoping to teach as much as possible and learn from you as well.

Looking forward to hear from you,
Sarah

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught Dutch language lessons on multiple occasions, working with small companies and charities. I have also given coached kids between the age of 12-18 years in Physical Education and Music. Lastly, during my university course, I have given tutoring lessons in Biology and Chemistry to students in the years below me.

Tutoring Approach:

I hope to teach my students to a level of proficiency and understanding, which gives them the tools to naturally visualize what they have learned, and become creative problem solvers within their chosen subject. I can teach you how to memorize a lot of information in a constructive manner, by making the right connections, and hence categorizing your understanding in a way you can build upon it. I will teach you how to focus your mind and think deeply about the subjects you have been given. I also want to give you some of the research skills I have acquired, as this is a fundamental part of further education. I encourage positively, love answering questions and ask for feedback from your side as well.

More specifically, the first lesson will entail you giving me a detailed summary of what you intend to learn. We can subsequently work together to organize our schedule into your other activities. It is important you follow the plan we set up together and learn to work independently between our sessions if necessary.
